Jade was born and raised in Seymour, Iowa. At the age of 18 he moved to Texas to start working for Craig Cameron learning how to start colts. He then moved back to Iowa to start his own horse training facility. In 2006 Jade went to one of Craig’s clinic in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where he met Al Dunning. Al asked Jade to come to Arizona to his ranch and help train cutting horses. Jade then packed his bags and started his journey to Scottsdale, AZ. He worked for Al for 8 years. Starting colts, showing cutting horses and working alongside him at clinics. Along the way with Al, Jade won third in the world in the 2,000 rider class, Arizona Futurity Reserve Champion, 1,500 novice horse for Arizona and the Area 2 Derby. He has also trained colts that have gone on to compete in the reined cow horse. In 2015 Jade started his own training program; Jade Keller Performance Horses. He specializes in cutting horses and reined cow horses. Jades’ accomplishments include; 2023 Limited Futurity Top 5 Finalist, multiple World Finalist Top 10, the AZCHA 2015 Futurity, along with AzCHA 2016 Derby Horse, and Reserve World Champion in the Level 2 AQHA Junior Cutting . Many of Jades' clients have gone on to compete in the NCHA World Finals Top 15. Including NCHA Rookie of the Year 2019, along with World / Reserve Champion 2K Rider 2019/2020/2023, and Reserve World Champion 15k Amateur 2020. Assistants for Jade have also gone on to compete at the NCHA World Finals Top 15. Jade is the AzCHA President 2024, AzCHA board of directors for 9 years, President of the Cave Creek Club Cutting Association2019-2023. He lives in Scottsdale, AZ with his wife Tessa and three boys; Kole, Tucker and Klayton.
